Last weekend on 29th to 30th November, 24 chiropractors from The Chiropractic Association (Singapore) and Association of Chiropractic Malaysia converged at The Chiro Hub, Damansara, Kuala Lumpur to learn about Functional Neurology assessment and PMRF adjustment for brain imbalance. This was much welcomed after the last CPD workshop in Singapore years ago by Carrick Institute.
Meeting young instructors Dr Tommy Pang and Dr Joyce Yeung from Hong Kong, they conducted an intense and efficient no-nonsense course intent on imparting to you enough material for you to carry away and practise the next day.
There was something special about working on a topic we were all interested in together with chiropractors from three countries, all Asian. It was amazing to also see just how much the chiropractic profession has matured in Hong Kong and especially in Malaysia these past 10 years.
Despite the challenges faced by our profession in Singapore with regulation and in seeking official recognition, attending continuing professional development courses helps us remain high spirited and motivated to continue raising standards of practice, bringing quality of care to our patients.
