Dr Serene Ng’s Profile

MChiro, Cert Webster Technique (ICPA)
Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr Serene Ng, mother of two boys, is Singapore’s first local female chiropractor by birth. Stumbling upon chiropractic while residing in London, her professional direction changed dramatically.

After learning about chiropractic, she applied for and successfully obtained a full five year scholarship to study the subject at the Anglo European College of Chiropractic, Bournemouth, England. During that period, she represented the college at the British School of Osteopathy Conference, London, a public forum where chiropractic, osteopathy and physiotherapy final year students could present their research projects for discussion across the three health disciplines. She has been invited to speak on a variety of health related topics since then in nurseries, schools, and at various corporate training events.

A keen dancer, she incorporates dance philosophy and movements into her treatment programme to improve posture and function. She continues this passion to this day exploring different dance forms. Her approach to rehabilitation of the body is consequently a blend of her understanding of the body from a dancer’s as well as physical therapists’s perspective. Nutritional and lifestyle issues are addressed where appropriate.Recent continuing development courses attended span the fields of movement therapy, craniosacral therapy, hypnotherapy, sports and paediatric chiropractic.

Currently practising in Singapore, she is a member of The ChiropracticAssociation (Singapore) and the Society of Integrative Medicine, Singapore. In her spare time, she works with children aged 2 to 9 and has done so for the last 6 years in a voluntary capacity. Previously, she organized and coordinated social activities for teenaged girls living in Peckham, South London.
